Mr. Ayers is CEO of Central Illinois Manufacturing Company and an attorney in Monticello, where he formerly served as mayor. He has been a Parkland College trustee since 1989 and is currently the board’s secretary.
A past president of the Illinois Community College Trustees Association, he currently serves on the ICCTA’s Pension Reform Committee. He received the M. Dale Ensign Trustee of the Year Award from the nationwide Association of Community College Trustees in 2006 and won the Ray Hartstein Trustee Achievement Award from the ICCTA in 2004, among other honors.
