Illinois Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA)

The Illinois Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA) is an organization whose constituents are the individual members of the local boards of trustees of each of the community college districts. The ICCTA was organized in 1970 and operates under the authority of Section 103-55 of the Illinois Public Community College Act. On March 12, 1971, the Illinois Community College Board officially recognized the ICCTA as the official advisory organization representing the trustees of the Illinois Community College System to the Illinois Community College Board.  http://www.communitycolleges.org.


Illinois Council of Community College Presidents

The Illinois Council of Community College Presidents is an organization consisting of all chancellors and presidents of the public community colleges in Illinois. The Council meets on a monthly basis to discuss common problems of concern and issues in community college education. The Council works closely with the Illinois Community College Trustees Association. The Council was organized on June 11, 1968. On March 12, 1971, the Illinois Community College Board officially recognized the Council as the official advisory organization representing the chancellors and presidents of the Illinois Community College System to the Illinois Community College Board.

 

Illinois Community College Faculty Association (ICCFA)

The Illinois Community College Faculty Association (ICCFA) is a not-for-profit organization representing the faculty of member institutions of the Illinois Community College System. Members of the ICCFA serve on Illinois Community College Board statewide committees and task forces. On March 12, 1971, the Illinois Community College officially recognized the ICCFA as the advisory organization representing faculty members of the Illinois Community College System to the Illinois Community College Board. ICCFA Web Site

 

Adult Education and Family Literacy Advisory Council

The Adult Education and Family Literacy Advisory Council was established by Public Act 91-0830. The Council is composed of 31 members (30 members and 1 provider member chair). The membership consists of eligible providers, agency partners, and other stakeholders whose charge is to identify, deliberate, and make recommendations to the Illinois Community College Board on adult education policy and priorities. ICCB staff support is provided by Jennifer Foster, Deputy Director of Adult Education and Workforce along with the entire Adult Education team.

 

Student Advisory Committee

The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) was established by the Illinois Community College Board in 1982. It is the organization representing community college students which reviews community college policy issues, identifies issues of interest to students, and selects the student member of the Illinois Community College Board. ICCB staff support is provided by Jeff Newell, Deputy Director for Student Services and Technology.
