Advancing Classroom Innovations using Microcontrollers, VR, 3D Printing & IoT

How can we inspire students and get them to think outside the box?  How can we promote creativity in an atmosphere that usually encourages like-minded thinking?  How can we give students the opportunity to create things that go well beyond their assumed capacity?  How can we create an environment where students can easily research, design, and become a Maker?  What is a Maker?  How can I, as an instructor, understand cutting-edge technologies and then inspire my students?

All of these topics will be discussed and the class will actively explore technology including, but not limited to: the Arduino microcontroller and Raspberry Pi microprocessor, VR using google cardboard and the Oculus Rift, Leap Motion controller and haptic feedback devices, 3D printing, robotics, and an introduction to IoT (Internet of Things) projects plus much more.  No experience is necessary and projects continue to change from
