The Illinois Community College Board is the statewide coordinating agency for the Illinois Community College System and the Adult Education System. The colleges and adult education providers are located statewide and enroll more than one million students annually. The Board’s administrative offices are located in Springfield and Chicago. Its primary responsibility is to administer the Public Community College Act and to conduct the coordination activities and provide the regulation therein assigned to it.

Adult Education and Literacy Division

  • Associate Director for Regional Support—Region II: We invite applications for the position of Associate Director for Adult Education and Literacy—Regional Support. The position will report to the Director of Adult Education and Literacy and will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance on state and federal policies for the Adult Education programs located in the collar counties, and assist with the Early School Leaver programs. This position is classified under the State Universities Civil Service System. Adult Education and Literacy Division

  • Director for Curriculum & Instruction: We invite applications for the position of Director for Adult Education and Literacy—Curriculum & Instruction. The position will report to the Senior Director for Adult Education and Literacy and will coordinate curriculum and instructional activities statewide. This position is classified under the State Universities Civil Service System. Salary range: $47,000-$49,500.   • Associate Director for Professional Development: We invite applications for the position of Associate Director for Adult Education and Literacy—Professional Development. This position will report to the Senior Director for Adult Education and Literacy. Responsibilities include developing training activities to build the instructional capacity of adult education programs in achieving educational and employment outcomes. This position is classified under the State Universities Civil Service System.   • Associate Director for Transition Programs: We invite applications for the  position of Associate Director for Adult Education and Literacy—Transition Programs. This position will report to the Deputy Director for Adult Education and Workforce. Responsibilities include providing support to the statewide Adult Education transition programs, including Bridge, Early School Leaver Transition Program, Lincoln’s Challenge Program, and Integrated Education and Training (IET) Programs. This position is classified under the State Universities Civil Service System. Salary range: $37,000-$39,200.   • Associate Director for Program Compliance: We invite applications for the position of Associate Director for Adult Education and Literacy—Program Compliance. This position will report to the Adult Education Director of Data and Accountability and will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance on state and federal policies for the Adult Education and the Early School Leaver programs and for training on the Data and Information System Illinois (DAISi) to providers of adult education. This position is classified under the State Universities Civil Service System. Salary range: $37,000-$39,200.   • Assistant Director for Program Compliance: We invite applications for the position of Assistant Director for Adult Education and Literacy—Program Compliance. This position will report to the Adult Education Director of Data and Accountability and will be responsible for following-up with grantees, coordinating reports with regional staff, assisting with the Early School Leaver Transition Program. This position is classified under the State Universities Civil Service System.
