Faculty Technology Skills

Faculty should be familiar with the Internet and how to use a Web browser. Faculty should also be familiar with different search engines and databases and know how to perform Internet searches.

Student Technology Skills

Students should be familiar with the Internet and how to use a Web browser. Students should also be able to perform searches using a variety of search engines.

Faculty Equipment

The faculty member will need an Internet connection that is reliable. A printer (local or network) would be very beneficial.

Student Equipment

Like the faculty member, the student will need a reliable Internet connection and some sort of printer.

Cost

The cost involved is dependent on the type of computer, access method, and type of printer that is purchased; however, students can typically access the Internet through a campus lab or community library without cost.
