 Hi! My name is Angela Herbert and I recently earned my GED. I dropped out of school when I was a senior in high school. I wanted to get my GED, but I had a full time job running daycare out of my home, so I could not afford to go to class anywhere. I saw the sign for the online GED classes and called. They had me take a few tests to see where I was and I entered the program through Paul Linker. If it weren't for the guys at Mattoon Adult Education, I never would have earned my GED. You see, the only ones in my family that knew anything about me getting my GED were my husband and the school staff. I am married and have three children and they did not know I was doing this either. My brothers and sisters did not even know that I was taking the online GED classes, so it worked out great for me when I was able to show them my GED. They were all so happy for me and proud that I did earn my GED. I would have never have made it through without the online GED classes and all the helpful staff. I fully recommend it to anyone who is wanting their GED. I am forty years only and I just got my GED, so you are never too old to do this. I will never be able to thank the staff at MAAEC for making this dream a reality. Thanks again MAACE!!
