Introduction to Homer

Faculty Technology Skills

Instructors need to be able to produce a graphics presentation such as a PowerPoint presentation; however, there are no multimedia features to this presentation. Faculty who have only minimal knowledge of graphics presentation software could easily reproduce this kind of module.

Student Technology Skills

No technology skills are required other than the ability to point and click. Students are asked to produce one PowerPoint presentation for their electronic portfolio, and tutorials are provided for them.

Faculty Equipment

Faculty should have access to some graphics presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint.

Student Equipment

Students need access to a computer with some graphics presentation software. Since there are minimal graphics embedded in this presentation, this is a relatively easy presentation for students to access at home. I do provide, however, an RTF version for printing.

Cost

There are no additional costs. I am assuming that most schools have provided their faculty access to some graphics presentation software.
